Memorial Day

Memorial DayMemorial Day is also known as Decoration Day and it takes place on every last Monday of each May.

Memorial Day is a United States federal holiday and it’s a day for those people who died during military service and fought for the Civil War and the World War I.

Memorial Day Founded to honor those who died serving in the U.S. military, the holiday has taken on the additional significance over the years as being the “unofficial beginning of summer,” with all that entails, including: better weather, the seasonal opening of local pools and celebrations of barbecue food, family and friends.
