The Chicago Blackhawks had flown home in the early hours of the morning to bring back the Stanley Cup.There were celebrations on the streets of Chicago and it was obvious how much the win meant to the team, led by Jonathan Toews, and to Coach Joel Quenneville. The Blackhawks beat the Philadelphia Flyers 4-3 to win the Stanley Cup for the first time in 49 years.
The official Ticker Tape parade celebration takes place today, Friday June 11, followed by the Championship Rally and we have details here of what to expect and the times you need. Firstly the ticker tape parade will begin at 10:30 am CT starting at the intersection of Wacker Drive and Washington Street, going east to Michigan Avenue and then up to East Wacker Drive, according to Mioboo.com.
