Iliza Shlesinger said that it was not easy being a stand-up comedian in spite of winning a male-dominated competition in a male dominated field. Her half hour show on Comedy Central made her a hot search item on the web.In ‘Last Comic Standing’ she was twice selected by other contestants for the head to head elimination rounds and she managed to win it both times. In the finals she competed against Jeff Dye and Marcus.
The 27 year old American comedian attended one year at the University of Kansas and then transferred to Emerson College in Boston where she majored in Film. She performed with the ComedySportz Dallas and later moved to Los Angeles to pursue stand-up comedy.
