Marissa Mayer - Moving To Yahoo - " I am honored and delighted to lead Yahoo "

Marissa Mayer Will Try to Save Yahoo as CEO
Marissa Mayer
Marissa Mayer "I am honored and delighted to lead Yahoo". Yahoo has been able to attract someone of the highest caliber here, someone who understands the business. This is really the first thing out of Yahoo in a decade that you can't snicker at.
Yahoo surprised the tech world Monday by appointing Mayer, 37, as the Sunnyvale firm's seventh permanent or interim chief in five years. She helped announce the news herself in a succinct post to both her Google+ and Twitter accounts shortly after the stock market closed.
"Marissa Mayer has always attracted a great deal of attention and, to date, it's all been positive," said Rebecca Lieb.
Questions remain whether Mayer can make a difference at Yahoo. Some openly wonder if Mayer's appointment will make a dent. And whether Yahoo might besmirch her stellar reputation if things don't work out.
