
His initial ownership in sports world began when he accepted an ownership for World Team Tennis. He bought the L.A Lakers of the NBA and the Kings Hockey team of NHL, The Forum and Jack Kent Cooke during 1979.
After the formation of WNBA, Jerry Buss took control of operating the league’s Los Angeles franchise by the name of L.A Sparks. All three moved into Staples Center. Jerry Buss then sold the Great Western Forum.
Under Buss’ control, the Lakers have been very successful. The Spark also claimed success with Jerry Buss’ ownership.
Jerry Buss family is also very much involved in his teams. His son is the assistant general manager of The Lakers. His daughter is the vice president of Lakers.
