LeBron James announced on Thursday his intention to leave Cleveland and play for the Miami Heat along side of Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh.

The Gilbert letter personally guaranteed a NBA championship for the city of Cleveland before Miami and publicly blasted their former star player.

NBA Star Ray Williams Homeless?

NBA Star,Ray Williams, Basketball info, basketball newsAccording to the Boston Globe, Williams doesn’t use drugs or drink or gamble. He’s just had abysmal luck job-wise and financially and now it’s all gone. He lives in a car that doesn’t run and undoubtedly eats in soup kitchens.

Ray Williams reportedly made over $2 million while playing in the NBA from the years 1977 to 1987 and apparently he just could not hang onto the money. He has also gotten about $12,000 in money from the NBA Legends Foundation, which he used to purchase a condo to live in, under a lease-to-own contract that through no fault of his own, was not honored by the widow of the man he made the contract with.

It’s a whole bunch of reasons: bad luck, bad money management, bad choices and bad people in his life that either took advantage of him or did not help him to be responsible for himself.

Sam Bowie Is A Former American Basketball Player

Sam Bowie, American basketball playerSam Bowie is a former American basketball player. Projected as a solid first rounder in the 1984 NBA Draft, Bowie was chosen by the Portland Trail Blazers as the second selection, ahead of Basketball Hall of Famer Michael Jordan.

As a freshman during the 1979–80 season at the University of Kentucky, Bowie averaged twelve points and eight rebounds per game.

However, his college career was interrupted with severe injuries to his shinbone, and he did not play college basketball for the next two seasons.

He returned in time for the 1983–84 season, where he averaged ten-and-a-half points and nine rebounds per game while being named to the second-team All-American squad. During his senior season, his heroics in a game against rival Louisville earned him a spot on the cover of Sports Illustrated.

Reports say that the Los Angeles Lakers will host a Lakers parade for fans on Monday, June 21.

However, new reports have emerged that supporters of the LA Lakers have started a riot and threw rocks, bottles, burnt cars and smashed windows and infuriated motorists.

Reports say that many LAPD vehicles and Metro buses were damaged and even several LAPD officers were hurt.

The LA Lakers saw a 83-79 victory over the Boston Celtics.

Bryant Finished With 21 Points And Collected The Bill Russell Award

He said: “This is the sweetest (title). We’ve been downplaying the rivalry with the Celtics but there’s no question, this one’s by far the sweetest because it’s against them – and because it’s the hardest.”

Of 18 decisive seventh games in finals history, 14 have now been won by the hosts, while every match in this series has been won by the team with the most rebounds – LA dominating that statistic 53-40 last night.

His initial ownership in sports world began when he accepted an ownership for World Team Tennis. He bought the L.A Lakers of the NBA and the Kings Hockey team of NHL, The Forum and Jack Kent Cooke during 1979.

After the formation of WNBA, Jerry Buss took control of operating the league’s Los Angeles franchise by the name of L.A Sparks. All three moved into Staples Center. Jerry Buss then sold the Great Western Forum.

Under Buss’ control, the Lakers have been very successful. The Spark also claimed success with Jerry Buss’ ownership.

Jerry Buss family is also very much involved in his teams. His son is the assistant general manager of The Lakers. His daughter is the vice president of Lakers.

Derek Fisher Was The Hero As The LA Lakers

The 35-year-old, point guard had 11 of his 16 points in the final quarter as the Lakers edged a tight game 91-84 and Fisher also kept quiet Boston’s Game Two hero Ray Allen.

Celtics coach Doc Rivers said: "Derek Fisher was the difference in the game. He's just a gutty, gritty player. Fisher basically took the game over."

Celtics Beat The LA Lakers 103-94

Celtics beat the LA Lakers, Lakers Celtics, BasketBall, LA Lakers GameRay Allen buried a record eight three pointers and scored a post-season high 32 points.
Allen put on a shooting display reminiscient of Michael Jordan’s superb performance in game one of the 1992 finals opener against Portland.

Rajon Rondo scored 10 of his 19 points in the fourth quarter and made some key free throws in the final minute to help clinch the win for the Celtics. Rondo, the shortest (6ft 1in) of all five Celtic starters, finished with 12 rebounds and 10 assists for the triple double.

Pau Gasol had 25 points and eight rebounds and Andrew Bynum and Kobe Bryant each scored 21 points for the Lakers who suffered their first loss at home in the playoffs after nine straight wins.

Bryant, who was in foul trouble late in the game, also had six assists and five rebounds but committed five turnovers.

The Celtics stepped up their play from the opening tipoff in game two after a lethargic game one of the best-of-seven series.

Game 5, Fourth quarter, 2:28 remaining: Lakers 97, Suns 94

The Suns exited the timeout with Jared Dudley hitting both free throws to cut the Lakers' lead to five. But Derek Fisher continued his hot shooting with a three-pointer.
Pau Gasol missed his next shot but Steve Nash did not and the Laker s'lead was four.
But, who else, Kobe Bryant hit for two more. Bryant then missed a three with 3:11 to play and Stoudemire made a basket as the shot clock expired to bring Phoenix to within one point.

Game 5, Fourth quarter, 5:22 remaining: Lakers 90, Suns 83

The Suns came out of the timeout and cut the lead to six when Channing Frye hit the first of two free throws.
After a Bryant miss and Leandro Barbosa miss, Pau Gasol made a layup to push the Lakers' lead back to seven.

Game 5, Fourth quarter 8:48 remaining: Lakers 83, Suns 76

The Lakers opened the fourth quarter with Kobe Bryant, Pau Gasol, Lamar Odom, Sasha Vujacic and Jordan Farmar on the court.

Game 5, End of third quarter: Lakers 78, Suns 72

Kobe Bryant answered with a two and that was followed by a hard-earned two by Channing Frye.
It turned into a four-point play. It was followed by Jordan Farmar's committing a foul and Leandro Barbosa converting two free throws.
